What is Give Camp?

Does your non-profit need a new web site but can’t afford it? Does your charity need a new computer program to manage your membership roster, and are tired of tracking data with Excel?

Come to Give Camp!

Are you a local software developer, graphics designer, social media expert, or other technologist that wants to volunteer and give back to your community?

Come to Give Camp!

Give Camp is a weekend-long event that meets the needs of area non-profit organizations through custom software. By partnering non-profit organizations and local volunteer technologists, we can quickly complete software projects for non-profits in a single weekend; projects might include a new website for the non-profit to deliver its message to the community, a small data-collection application to keep track of donations, or a membership directory to manage volunteer contact data. Any need can be addressed as long as it complies with one limitation: the project must of appropriate size and scope to be completed during the Give Camp weekend.

For 48 hours during a Give Camp weekend, a team made up of non-profit representatives, software developers, graphics designers, and more works side-by-side to complete their project in what has been described as the most exhausting rewarding experience you will ever encounter. We provide attendees with a place to put up a tent, the food and drink necessary to keep going, and eliminate the road blocks so that you and your team can focus on getting things done. It’s a great opportunity for people to work together, develop new friendships, and most of all, to do something great for the community.
