After the opening ceremony, we will break into development teams, introduce ourselves, begin discussing the project, and get an opportunity to speak directly with the charity representative, clarifying their needs. Pizza, salad, and drinks will be served during this time. Throughout the weekend, volunteers will work on the projects in a number of classrooms in the BE building. What an overwhelming response! We received more than 50 proposals from local charities wanting to be a part of Ann Arbor Give Camp 2008. Paring that list down to a manageable group of projects was an enormous task, but with limited resources we had to make some very hard decisions. We are pleased to announce that the following 7 organizations have been accepted as Ann Arbor Give Camp projects!

•Care House/Macomb County Child Advocacy Center
•Michigan Humane Society
•The Wellness Community
•Caring Alternatives
•Forgotten Harvest
•Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum
•Angels' Place
•Washtenaw County Chapter of the American Red Cross
•Child Care Network
•Golightly Academy of IT
•The Information Center
•Center Stage Drama
•Arab American Culture Center
•SDL EQ Enrichment Center
•NOCIRC Michigan

Thanks to all of the organizations who submitted proposals. It is apparent that the kind of technology services that Ann Arbor Give Camp provides to charitable organizations in southeast Michigan are much needed.
